Christina Gonzales serves as the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, leading one of the largest divisions on campus with a variety of support services and programs that promote student success. Christina is a passionate educator and energetic student advocate who brings a strong sense of leadership, strategic planning and social justice to the division and university.
She has been in higher education administration since 1998, beginning her career at Rio Salado Community College as an academic advisor. She served in leadership positions at the University of California Berkeley, and Arizona State University prior to coming to CU Boulder in July 2012. Here at CU, she was previously the associate vice chancellor for student affairs and dean of students. Christina earned a B.S. from Western New Mexico University, M.A. from New Mexico State University. She has also served as an adjunct instructor in the college of education at Arizona State University.
