Workshop: Mindfulness Practices in Everyday Living

Workshop Description: Mindfulness is the practice of becoming aware of the present moment. Rooted in ancient teachings and traditions, mindfulness has long been a tool for people to come to a place of calmness and peace in the midst of even the most difficult situations. In todays busy world, mindfulness can be used in any moment to bring our mind into its rightful and natural state of balance. Not too tight, Not too loose: Self-Care from the Perspective of Buddhist Psychology

Workshop Description: This workshop will present Buddhist Psychological ideas on increasing self-care and life balance using a non-religious approach. We will discuss simple and transformative concepts for relating with our minds and emotions: Four Noble Truths, Brilliant Sanity, Touching our Direct Experience, Letting Go and Coming Back.
