Air Force, Army, and Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps
Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) is an educational
program that provides a variety of scholarship and incentive
opportunities designed to give men and women the opportunity
to become officers in the U.S. Armed Forces while completing
a college degree. The ROTC mission is to produce leaders for
the country's armed forces and to build better citizens for
America. Instruction focuses on the principles of leadership,
fundamental military skills, decision making, officer ethics, and
professionalism. Students are also introduced to the history and
traditions of the armed forces as well as officer career
opportunities. There are three ROTC detachments at the
university.
