Student Affairs Assessment: Using StudentVoice

Providing support, guidance, direction, and coordination for assessment efforts across the division of Student Affairs; inspiring and assisting units and individuals in their pursuit of standards of excellence.

The Division of Student Affairs contracts with StudentVoice (www.studentvoice.com) to provide handheld (palm pilot) and web based survey administration and a full complement of assessment support services. This service is available at no charge to all student affairs units and programs. To ensure coordination and avoid "survey fatigue" among our students, we ask that you clear your surveys through the Student Affairs Assessment Coordinator before submitting them to Student Voice for development.

How to submit a survey to StudentVoice:

1. Contact Kelly Ormsby at 716.652.9400 Ext. 1 or at Kelly.Ormsby@studentvoice.com. You may also contact a StudentVoice representative by e-mailing info@studentvoice.com.
2. Discuss the project you want to create, features you want your survey to have, and ask for guidance on any formatting issues that will help StudentVoice best accomplish your objectives.
3. Ask Kelly to set up a login and password for you if you do not already have one.
4. Create your survey in Mircrosoft Word.
5. Go to www.studentvoice.com and login.
6. Click on the "Request Project" tab and follow the steps detailed there.
7. As soon as requested your project will show up in the "requested" area of the "My Projects" tab.
8. Use the "My Projects" tab to track progress during development, preview the survey when available, and view results after administration.
