Eleanor Hubbard
Senior Instructor Emerita

Eleanor is a Senior Instructor Emerita in the Department of Sociology at the University
of Colorado at Boulder. Since retiring in 2006, she has regularly taught Maymester. Her
teaching and research specialties include gender, race/ethnicity, social class, age,
sexual orientation, and qualitative research. As retired faculty, she has also worked as a
consultant and trainer in her business DiversityWorks. Eleanor was awarded the
Champion of Diversity Award by the Boulder County YWCA in 2006.
Eleanor is co-editor with Cameron T. Whitley (2012) Trans-Kin: A Guide for Famiy and
Friends of Transgender People. Bolder Press.
