Ticket Information
Ski Bus tickets for the 09-10 winter season are now on sale!
There are two ways to buy tickets:
- Buy online: The easiest way to buy tickets is to buy them on our
website. Our accepted forms of payment for online ticket purchases are
Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express cards.
- Buy in person: You must fill out this
form in advance of buying tickets in person and receive authorization
to buy tickets; otherwise you will be unable to purchase tickets. After
you receive authorization to buy tickets in person, please visit the UMC
accounting office in UMC 231 during their business hours (9-4:30 M-F) and
pay for your tickets. You must do this within 48 hours of receiving authorization
to buy the tickets; otherwise you will lose your authorization and will
have to request them again. Our accepted forms of payment for in-person
purchases are cash and check. No credit card payments will be accepted.
There are two types of tickets available for all trips of the Ski Bus:
- Regular tickets are available for $15 (roundtrip) for current University of Colorado at Boulder students, faculty, and staff. There are typically 35 regular tickets available for each trip.
- Herd tickets are available for $5 (roundtrip) for current University of Colorado at Boulder students who are members of the Herd (the student branch of the Alumni Organization). There are typically 20 Herd tickets available for each trip. Students who wish to join the Herd may do so at this page. You do not need your Herd membership number or card to buy your ticket. However, your membership card will be checked on the day of your trip, so make sure you bring it on that day!
People not
affiliated with the University of Colorado at Boulder are NOT eligible
to purchase tickets for the Ski Bus under any circumstances except the following:
- Each University student, staff, or faculty member that purchases a regular
($15) or Herd ticket ($5) is eligible to purchase one (1) regular ($15)
ticket for a non-University-affiliated guest. The University student, staff,
or faculty member must board the bus on the day of the trip in order for
the guest to be allowed to board the bus.
Standby
Tickets
We also offer standby tickets on the morning of the bus trip. These
tickets are available only at the Farrand Field pickup (see
map) from 6:20 to 6:30. They are only available on a space-available
basis to fill empty seats on the bus, and will be sold for $15 (cash or
check only, no credit cards). These tickets are not guaranteed to be available,
but typically we have between eight and fifteen seats available on the morning
of the trip due to no-shows. No Herd ($5) tickets will be available on the
morning of the bus. Exact change is required.
Refund
Policy
In
the event that you cannot use a ticket, please read our refund policy closely.
This policy depends on how much time is left until your bus trip. In most
cases, it is easier to find a friend who can use your ticket than to request
a refund or date change from the program (see FAQ
question 6).
Up until seven days before your trip:
- All name change requests will be honored.
- All date change requests will be honored.
- Refund requests will be honored only if your ticket resells before your
original trip date.

form or by clicking the "Change your Ticket" link in the site
