A Day on the Bus

So now that you've bought your ticket for the Ski Bus? What should you expect for the day of your trip? Here is a breakdown of how your day will go:

In the morning, you will meet the bus at your preferred pickup location. The bus will pick up passengers in three locations around campus for every trip: by Williams Village, by Kittredge, and by Farrand Field. You can view a map of the pickups on this page. Make sure you meet the bus at the designated pickup time for your stop, which is:
- Williams Village: 5:45 am - 6:00 am
- Kittredge: 6:05 am - 6:15 am
- Farrand Field: 6:20 am - 6:30 am
Make sure you bring the following things with you to the bus in the morning to ensure that you are able to board the bus:
- BuffOne Card (this is absolutely required - do not forget it!)
- Herd Membership Card (ONLY if you bought a Herd ticket)
- A printout of your ticket purchase confirmation in case of confusion - this is your proof that you bought a ticket!

Once you're on the bus, feel free to make yourself comfortable. Your on-bus manager will make a few announcements upon leaving campus and then will begin passing out our various complimentary on-bus amenities, which include Clif Bars, pillows, blankets, and trail maps to the ski area that the bus is running to that day. The drive to the resorts generally takes about two hours, so kick back, listen to music, or take a nap and let the driver get you there!
As the bus is nearing the resort, the on-bus manager will begin making some more announcements. Pay close attention to these announcements, as they contain important information about where you will meet the bus again in the afternoon and what time the bus will leave the resort.
The bus generally arrives at the resort between 8:30 am and 9:00 am, and will drop you off very close to the lifts. Grab your skis and snowboards and hit the slopes!

When you meet the bus in the afternoon, make sure you are back to the bus by the announced departure time, which depends on your destination; the bus departs Arapahoe Basin at 3:30 pm and departs Breckenridge, Keystone, Vail, and Beaver Creek at 4:00 pm. The bus departs promptly at that time! If you are running late or are having difficulty finding the bus, you may call the on-bus manager at 303-900-2761 and he/she will hold the bus for you until you arrive.
Once you're back on the bus, you are free to relax, do your classwork, or watch the complimentary movie that we will play on the return trip. The time of the return trip depends on traffic and weather conditions, but you should expect to be back in Boulder between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm. The bus will stop at each of the three pickups to allow passengers to deboard at each one.
