The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is currently focusing its efforts on transforming the General Chemistry courses. These are the largest 5-credit courses on campus and impact a variety of science majors. We have assembled a General Chemistry Working Group made of faculty, senior instructors, academic advisors, lab personnel, and science teaching fellows. The Working Group meets regularly and contributes to the articulation of learning goals, revision of concept surveys, and provides input for decisions about course reform.
