My name is Ricardo Romero. I was born in Denver, Colorado, but was raised in a small town named Lafayette. I am a creative writing major with an emphasis in poetry and am hoping to teach middle school after I graduate. I am a McNeill scholarship recipient and am happy to be a part of this great program. I believe McNeill and SASC make a big difference in many students' lives, and I know they have some of the best educators I have ever been around. I hope to someday provide the same support to students that this program provided for me. I am a big fan of education and I hope that we continue to value education enough to support students and encourage them to strive for it. It is a blessing the Lord has given me that I will be forever grateful for.
