Johnna Vernon was influenced by growing up in the artistically rich community of Taos, N.M. After finding her niche as an aspiring artist in high school, she got her minor in visual arts from Naropa University, Boulder, Colorado. She focused her studies on mixed media and figure drawing. She is influenced by collage artists, graffiti and visual journals. She enjoys combining words with images to create a more intense or alternative meaning.
