I grew up in Arvada, Colorado where I attended Arvada West High School.
After that I came to CU where I have studied political science and economics,
and I am looking to graduate in December of this year. I am planning on
attending law school in the fall where I intend to earn both a JD and an MBA
that I would like to put towards investment banking. In terms of my influences
I have to cite most of the great conservative American thinkers of the last
century, including the late, great Milton Freedman, Berry Goldwater, Ronald
Reagan and Alan Greenspan. For more philosophical depth I have been heavily
influenced by Aristotelian logic, the world views of Thomas Hobbes and my
personal favorites Adam Smith and David Ricardo. To sum up my views, I am an
ardent fiscal conservative who believes strongly in efficiency and small
government. In this vein I am horrified by the continuing trend to legislate
every aspect of our lives as well as the continual erosion of civil rights and
liberties in this country. The piece I wrote may be fiction now, but I believe
that it will be a very harsh reality all too soon.
