Poetry

  What's the poetry of Nostalgia?

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall

Hope is the thing with feathers

Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses

Hold the pickle hold the lettuce special orders don't upset us

We at sub-scribe have vowed to drown out the mainstream, but we can't resist poetry's greatest hits. And, really, isn't all poetry outside the mainstream?

I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness

Daddy, daddy, you bastard, I'm through

Hey, hey, LBJ! How many kids have you killed today?

    Somebody blew up America

La migra, policia: la misma porqueria

A nostalgic relationship to poetry means to claim what is vital in our past, including our own pleasure and passion. In the words of one of the poets here, Aaron Rodriguez:

Wanna go back to the future call it Michael J Foxin
