Dorje Dolma

      Dorje Dolma¬†

When I first arrived in the USA, I did not know a word of English, which was difficult. Then, I discovered art. Being able to use art as a way of expressing my emotions and learning another language was amazing. I once lived near mountains as high as 15,000 feet in remote areas of Nepal, herding yaks and horses. I never knew that I would be able to draw or paint. Sometimes it is a wonderful feeling to know that I am one of 30,000 students at CU Boulder, trying to major in Fine Arts. I hope that my artistic side will keep improving and I will be able to share more of my culture with the world.
