I grew up on the Western Slope of Colorado in a pre-internet miasma of isolation and desolation. This situation, however, caused those of us in town with higher hopes to band together and create a small counter culture. Most of us also left as soon as we could. I myself went first to Tempe, Arizona, then back to Colorado to get my art degree, then later to Denver and San Francisco. I’ve always tried to consistently produce and show art wherever I've lived. I believe that I suffer from a lack of "marketability," or maybe the will to become marketable. It could be that I just become bored easily and consequently change my subject and style constantly.
