About Our Programs

  • AEP — Academic Excellence Student Support Services Program:
    This federal TRIO program is funded by the U.S. Department of Education to provide comprehensive retention services—academic, career and personal guidance, tutoring, financial aid assistance—to low income, first generation college students, including those with disabilities.
  • McNair — Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program:
    The McNair program is funded by the U.S. Department of Education TRIO programs to assist UCB juniors and seniors from low income, first-generation-in-college, and underrepresented backgrounds to prepare for graduate study, specifically to attain Ph.D.s in research-based disciplines.
  • McNeill — McNeill Academic Program:
    McNeill is an academic neighborhood for approximately 500 UCB students, providing classes in writing, mathematics, a wide range of co-curricular courses, academic support, study and meeting areas, community events, and academic, career and personal guidance.
  • PRE-COLLEGE Programs:
    • PCDP - Pre-Collegiate Development Program:
      PCDP provides college preparatory services to approximately 600 potential first generation college students at twenty area high schools and their feeder middle schools.
    • CUUB - CU Upward Bound Program:
      Funded by the U.S. Department of Education, Upward Bound provides college preparatory services to low income, potential first generation college students at 17 rurally isolated high schools located in predominantly Native American communities.
