I was born and raised in Boulder by parents who always thought "outside the box". I was the first in my family to go to college and walked into it blindly. It seemed like another language was being spoken; I couldn't rely on my parents for guidance, but luckily I was placed in a program for first generation college students that mentored me throughout my undergraduate experience. I'm not the kind of person that will let things deter me, they instead fuel me and I become somewhat relentless. Now I see that same determination in my children and my focus is to encourage or ignite that same spirit in the students I get to work with in the McNeill Program. I spend a lot of time doing art projects with my kids, reading, cooking and going to the mountains. My husband would say that I also love shopping and sleeping late... and he'd be right. My role in McNeill is to bring resources and opportunities to our students via our campus and community, work with students one on one, and plan events. I feel very lucky to work with a team that is so gifted and hardworking - your best interests are at the forefront of all that we do. We are committed to supporting a community that values diversity, individuality and academic excellence.
