Women's Self Defense (Offered Fall & Spring Only)

This six-week course is taught by instructors who are certified in assault and rape prevention, and offers training in elevated awareness of dangerous situations, practical techniques for verbally diffusing a potential conflict, managing the effects of fear and adrenaline, and simmple but effective defensive techniques that include ground fighting and deceptive strategies.  The course includes a "graduation class" involving a padded "assailant"; which allows students to practice their skills with full action.
