Yoga
The word yoga
means "union." The union of the physical, mental, and spiritual self. Like an
exercise program, Hatha Yoga will strengthen, firm, tone, and improve the health
of your body. The practice of yoga will also do much to heighten your well being.
You will learn postures to develop spinal alignment, increase strength and flexibility,
and manage your body with precision. Each class will include warm-up stretches,
basic yoga asanas (postures), and breathing techniques. Wear comfortable clothes
that do not restrict your movement. Classes will use belts, blocks, and blankets
as props.

| From Monday, Aug,
25th through Friday, Aug, 29th., all Yoga classes will be offered free
of charge so that patrons may try out different classes and instructors
during registration. Space availability will be on a first come basis. Please check
class descriptions for locations of classes. |
Finals Week
Classes:
Full semester length Yoga classes will run through the last day of academic
classes, ending Friday Dec. 12th. We will then offer an abbreviated
schedule of classes for the week of finals Sat. Dec. 13th thru Thur.

Sunrise Yoga
Start your morning with a yoga class and watch

Private Yoga Instruction
Personalized yoga lessons are available for individuals who would like to work on their posture and alignment, breath and mental focus, and pose modifications; or for those who simply want to get acquainted with yoga.
Register at the cashier and then stop by the Instruction Program Office (Mon - Thurs, 7am-7pm; and Fri 7am-6pm) to make an appointment. Please allow 48 hours advance notice when scheduling.
All private lessons are valid for 180 days from date of purchase. Unused sessions are nontrasferable and nonrefundable.
