Collegiate Sport Clubs :
Collegiate Sport Clubs offers the opportunity to participate in a highly competitive situation
as well as a program for the beginner in the sport. There is a wide variety of
activities ranging from clinics and training sessions to intercollegiate competitions;
from social interaction in a club setting to providing learning experiences in
fundraising, organization and administration of a club program. All clubs are
open to any level of skill in the sport. Clubs include: baseball, cycling, dance,
fencing, field hockey, figure skating, fly fishing, ice hockey, kayak, lacrosse,
racquetball, rodeo, rugby, soccer, softball, speedskating, squash, swimming/diving,
triathlon, ultimate frisbee, volleyball, water polo, roller hockey, snowboarding,
tennis and wrestiling.
Instruction
Program:
The instruction program consists of a variety of non-academic/non-credit fitness and activity classes;
Including various Aerobic & Group Fitness classes, Sports Conditioning, Indoor Cycling, Master's Swim & Adult Learn to Swim Classes, Martial Arts, Dance, Yoga, First
Aid/CPR, Tennis and More. We also offer a variety of sessions with certified personal trainers in Strength & Fitness, Swimming, Tennis, Pilates, Yoga, and Self-Defense/Kickboxing. Registration is available to all CU Students and adult members of the Recreation Center only.
Intramurals:
Intramurals offers activities for men, women and co-recreation interaction and
competition. Teams from within the university play other teams in the university.
There are a variety of competition levels from the beginning to skilled. Sports
sponsored include: badminton, basketball, dodgeball, flag football, ice broomball, ice
hockey, innertube water polo, racquetball, soccer (indoor and outdoor), whiffleball,
squash, table tennis, tennis, ultimate frisbee, and volleyball.
Outdoor
Program:
The goals of this program are to provide outdoor experience emphasizing adventure,
environmental awareness, education, challenge, safety, and a sense of community
and enjoyment. A wide variety of trips and events at all levels, from beginning
instruction to technical seminars and clinics, are offered for recreation center
members.
Ski
Bus:
Your best alternative, economical ride to the slopes. Ride in comfort and
sleep all the way to several selected ski areas including Winter Park, Vail,
Keystone and Breckenridge.
