Suicide Prevention Awareness Week

    "The Truth About Suicide: Real Stories of Depression in College" a 30 minute film presenting a recognizable picture of depression and other problems associated with suicide commonly experienced by college students. Discussion to follow. Cookies and beverages.
  • Thursday September 10th
    3-4:30 PM, UMC 245
    Question, Persuade, Refer - Intervention Skills with someone who may be suicidal In this 90 minute training, you can easily learn a way of intervening. QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer. Like CPR, QPR is an emergency response to someone in a suicide crisis. Also like CPR in the Chain of Survival from a life threatening medical crisis, early recognition of warning signs, early intervention and early professional assessment and care can save lives.     HOPE Lights the Night: Remembering and Honoring Those Lost to Us by Suicide Candlelight vigil at the Boulder Bandshell, co-sponsor through the Hope Coalition of Boulder County
