Originally trained in theater, Jill Mulholland has practiced, taught, researched, written, designed and built with light and lighting as an architectural lighting designer, assistant professor, in her PhD., Light Celebrating Place, and currently as a light artist. She has taught architectural design studios and lighting classes at Texas A&M, the University of Oklahoma and was awarded the Baker Chair in Light and Design at the University of Oregon in 2011.

Simultaneously Jill works for the IALD (International Association of Lighting Designers) Education Trust where she invents, runs and coordinates a full range of projects that further lighting education.
