Join Professor Brian Catlos for a public talk entiteld "The (Jewish) Man Who Would be King" at the Boulder JCC on October 26.

The first two chapters of Infidel Kings and Unholy Warriors examines the careers of Samuel and Joseph ibn Naghrela, Jews who served as the prime ministers of a Muslim kingdom in Spain during the Golden Age of Judaeo-Islamic culture (11th century). Join Professor Catlos as we turn back the clock 1,000 years to examine the shifting fortunes and precarious history of Jews in Muslim lands.
