Information
for Investigators
Welcome
The General Clinical Research
Center is a support
center for faculty involved in clinical research. We provide resources to
facilitate the research process. Please see the Services and Facilities page for
more details on the services available.
Protocol Submission
In order to use the
resources offered by the GCRC, investigators must submit a protocol
application for approval by the Scientific Advisory Committee
(SAC) in Denver.
The committee meets on the first Monday of each month at the Health Sciences Center.
The Scientific Advisory Committee must approve modifications to an
existing protocol, or a request for additional resources. You should
submit your request in writing to the chairman of the Scientific Advisory
Committee, William Hiatt, M.D..
In addition to
having SAC approval for research protocols at the GCRC, the CU Boulder Human Research Committee
(HRC) is required to approve all research involving human
subjects on the University of Colorado, Boulder
campus.
Protocol Application
Protocol application
and guideline forms are available by download or can be obtained by phone
or email from the CU Boulder GCRC Administrative Manager, Mary Dang, at (303)
735-2521. Once completed, forward a copy of the protocol to Mary Dang
for review, and she will forward it to the SAC committee. All protocols must be received in the administrative office by 5PM on the deadline date in order to be reviewed at the next monthly SAC meeting.
Download protocol form
Please note that the
protocol application form should be downloaded prior to each submission
since the form will be periodically updated. The CU Boulder Informatics
