I want to take this opportunity to give you a brief summary of your rights under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), the federal law that governs release of and access to student education records.

We recently sent you a message stating that a registration hold would be placed on your account if you did not register for Selective Service by Thursday, October 3. Due to the impact of the federal government shutdown on the Selective Service website, we are extending the registration deadline to October 18.
Our records indicate that you have stll not completed one or both steps of the Selective Service requirement. You must fulfill this requirement to both the State and University by Thursday, October 3, 2013. If you do not, a hold will be placed on your Spring 2014 registration which will prevent you from registering for courses.
Below are important deadlines for adding and dropping courses for Fall 2013. Unless otherwise noted, all deadlines end at 11:59 p.m. on the day listed.
Wednesday, September 11, 2013:
- Last day to drop a course without being assessed full tuition and fees and receiving a W grade on the transcript. See more information on dropping a course.
Friday, September 13, 2013:
Faculty and staff course registration for the CU-Boulder campus begins Monday, August 26, 2013 at 12:01 a.m.
