In order to request a Student Record Interface, you must complete the following three steps:
1. Read the Requirements for the Shared Student Data Repositories. This document includes the expectations of campus departments who store student data on shared databases within their departments.
2. Complete the following documents and send them to Christy Samford, Associate Registrar, Office of the Registrar, Campus Box 020 UCB (or electronically to email@example.com).
IMPORTANT: Every department is required to have a security assessment review prior to receiving the requested student data. More information can be found on the Request Student Data page. Once applications are approved and the security review is complete, the registrar's office will be notified and the request will then be sent on to University Information Systems for development. Questions should be directed to Dan Jones at (303) 735-6637.
If you have an existing interface developed by University Information Systems (UIS) and it just needs a modification, please use the Interface Service Design Specification B form.
3. Complete the FERPA web-based course. Course #U00049: Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA). Your completion and score will be recorded.

Approved applications will be forwarded to University Information Systems for development. Note that there is currently a significant backlog for this development.
