Welcome to CU Boulder! We want to make sure the start of school goes as smoothly as possible. Below is a checklist of important items, many of which you may have already completed.

___  Complete Any To-Do Items or Holds
Check the Holds and To-Do Items section in MyCUInfo for specific action items or requested information.

___  Submit Your Final Transcript(s)
Your official transcript(s) must be submitted directly to CU Boulder (transcripts@colorado.edu) from the issuing institution. If you don't complete this step, the university won't apply your financial aid to your bill (if applicable), and you won't be able to enroll in Spring 2018 classes.

___  Apply for and Authorize the College Opportunity Fund (In-State Undergrads Only)
The College Opportunity Fund (COF) is the state's method of providing financial support to in-state undergraduates. You must complete two steps to receive these funds: 1) submit the one-time application at College Assist, and 2) authorize the use of funds in MyCUInfo.

___  Register with Selective Service by Oct. 4 (Males Ages 18–25)
If you were assigned male at birth and you're between the ages of 18 and 25, you must complete a one-time Selective Service registration. If you don't do it by Oct. 4, you won't be able to enroll in Spring 2018 classes. See Register with Selective Service for more information.

___  Authorize Your Financial Aid to Pay All University Charges
By default, your federal student loans and Pell Grant only pay for tuition, fees and on-campus room and board. However, you can authorize the university to apply any leftover funds to other university charges, like health insurance, parking fees, optional student fees and textbooks. See Apply Federal Aid to All University Charges for more information.

___  Complete Required Loan Documents
Federal Direct Loans (subsidized and unsubsidized) require you to complete entrance counseling and a Master Promissory Note (MPN). You can do both at studentloans.gov.
