Beginning Kayak Pool Instruction

Beginning pool lessons to safely prepare you for river instruction.You will learn basic paddling strokes, braces and the Eskimo roll. Bring swimsuit and a towel. All sessions are taught in Clare Small Pool.

Kayak Roll Clinic

Learn how to roll a kayak or work on fine tuning your skills during this two-hour pool clinic. Bring a swimsuit and towel. Meet in Clare Small Pool at 7:00pm.

Intro to River Kayaking

This day trip to Clear Creek Canyon in Golden is a great way to get introduced to the awesome world of white water kayaking. We will spend the day learning all details of running a river from, catching an eddie and peeling out, to scouting a rapid and then running them. All paddling gear is included in cost. Participants must have attended the pool class, or have been checked out at a roll clinic to be able to participate.

Intro to Playboating

Spend your Friday afternoon learning the skills required to surf a wave, spin and maybe even start to throw ends. If you already do some play boating and want to learn some new moves you are welcome to join as well. All paddling gear is included in cost. Participants must have attended the Intro to Rivers course, or have been checked out due to having prior kayaking experience at a roll clinic to be able to participate.
