Enshin Karate is considered the ultimate practical style in the martial arts. It encompasses a trademark strategy that enables its practitioners to convert defense into offense, utilizing devastating blocks, kicks and punches. Aikido is a Japanese martial art that uses joint locks, throws, and pins to subdue an attacker. It is considered the highest form of non-violent self-defense. The training is rigorous yet relaxed, with an emphasis on posture, balance, and spiral-like movement. Class meets in the Matroom. Instructor: Eric Dobbs |

The Japanese art of fencing called Kendo, meaning "the way" (do) "of the sword" (ken), is the oldest form of martial art in Japan. Through it's long history and cultural roots, the art of Kendo expresses itself not just as purely physical power, but as a deep mental training and a philosophical outlook on everyday life. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is one of the most effective systems of ground fighting known today; relying on chokes, arm locks, and other submission holds to subdue an opponent.
