All certification classes offered by the Student Recreation Center meet the standards for current American Red Cross Emergency Cardiovascular Care Guidelines.

This 32-hour course includes all the necessary Lifeguard Training material from the American Red Cross. Certification in CPR for the professional rescuer, and First Aid. Prerequisites include:
Prerequisite swim test is administered at the first class. You must attend all classes to receive certification. |

If you have a current Lifeguard Training Certificate that's about to expire, this is the class for you. It includes certification in CPR for the Professional Rescuer, Lifeguard Training, and Basic First Aid. All candidates must still pass the prerequisite skills check as with basic Lifeguard Training (prerequisite swim test is administered at the first class session). |

This nine-hour Standard First Aid Course covers everything from burns and broken bones to choking and heart attacks. This is an extended course that includes adult, infant, and junior CPR. The fee includes your personal protection mask and all textbooks. You must attend all classes to receive certification. |
