Fitness Leadership Program

Weight Training

The Fitness Leadership Program is an in-depth training program that is based on the American Council on Exercise (ACE) standards and guidelines.

This program has two tracks:  

  1. Group Fitness Instructor Training (GFIT)
  2. Personal Trainer Preparation Course (PTP)

Personal Trainer Preparation (PTP)

PTP is available Spring Semester only.

If you enjoy fitness and helping others to reach their goals, then consider starting a path to becoming a certified personal trainer. This 12 week training program provides potential personal trainers with the information, instruction, education, and practical experience needed to become a safe and effective trainer. Cost is $350, includes text and study materials.

Group Fitness Instructor Training (GFIT)

GFIT is available fall semester only.

If you enjoy fitness, helping others and working out in a group setting then consider starting a path to becoming a fitness instructor. This 12-week training program provides you with the information, instruction, education, and practical experience needed to become a safe and effective group fitness instructor.
