The Feldenkrais Method® is a world-renowned system of movement education created by an Israeli physicist and martial artist, Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais. Do you deal with back pain, neck pain, or other discomforts from all the time spent over books and at the computer? In this course, students are verbally guided through a series of gentle movement lessons designed to increase awareness, improve coordination and flexibility, and unify the function of the nervous system and skeleton. Most lessons are done lying on the back or on the side. Although most of the movements are done slowly, the effects of Feldenkrais are very deep, because the method deals with the kinds of core muscular habits - such as those around the spine and hip joints - that are at the root of many forms of injury, chronic pain, or inhibited athletic performance.
