LEADERSHIP + SERVICE

At the CUCRC you can learn and grow through leadership and service. Join us and help make things happen! We believe that everyone who walks through the doors is contributing to the CUCRC community already – through their energy and presence. Bring it!

There are a lot of ways to get involved in service with the CUCRC community, and we also support service projects in the broader community. Being of service can play an important role in maintaining sobriety -- helping us to cultivate gratitude, to give back and to connect with each other and others on campus and beyond.

Center Hosts

Our Hosts are the heart of the Center. Center Hosts have a minimum 1 year+ sobriety and commitment to recovery community, and are either a Member or Friend of the CUCRC.

Responsibilities include:

  • Greeting visitors, answer incoming calls, give basic program overview and info
  • Provide peer support, connection and oversight for those using the Center
  • Assist with upkeep of space, and CUCRC materials or logistics as needed

Social Team

Join in and help build our social community. Create an activity, meetup or event at the Center. Help us hold community events and member outings. Have fun while serving!

Communications Team

Help get the word out and build connections. Current projects include: further development of CUCRC website and communication materials, posting events and activities to online and campus locations, speaking to groups and organizations at outreach events, and more.

Steering Team (STEAM)

Serve with other members to help guide the CUCRC, share in developing its vision, growth and well-being. The steering team is open to all who are interested in participating in the decision-making and general operations of the community and space. A great way to build leadership and interpersonal communication skills, and to share your own experience in community organization.

Advisory Board

Help to advocate and support the mission of the CUCRC at the University and beyond.

Contact us at CUCRC@colorado.edu if you are interested in getting involved!
