Surf and Sand in Costa Rica

Forget about a cold snowy Thanksgiving at home and go surfing in beautiful Costa Rica! The trip includes a seven-night stay in Costa Rica, transportation to and from the airport, and surfing. For more information come to the Surf Costa Rica info night on October 2 at 6:00 PM in the OP Office.


Canoe the North Platte River (4-Day Fall Break Trip)
Float along this river in country that is essentially roadless and wild. It's a wonderful section of river in southern Wyoming for beginners or even those paddlers with experience. Fee includes gear, transportation, and food.


Backpack Canyonlands National Park (8-Day Spring Break Trip)
Hike atop pinion mesas and through canyons once traveled by the ancient Anasazi Indians. This seven day trip will take you just south of Moab, Utah, in the Needles District. You'll need hiking boots and appropriate clothing. Transportation and some group equipment (tents, backpacks, sleeping bags, pads) are provided.


Canoe the Colorado: Ruby/Horsethief Canyon
Hop in these fun boats and have a float with the Outdoor Program. This is a 26 mile excursion through spectacular canyon country between Loma, CO and Westwater, Utah. This section of the Colorado River is remote and filled with box canyons providing the solitude you dream about for a wilderness canoe trip. No experience necessary. Transportation, equipment and food are provided.


Backpack San Rafael Swell Utah (6-Day Spring Break Trip)
Interested in backpacking through beautiful remote canyon country? Join us for an incredible journey through the San Rafael Swell area in Utah. We'll backpack through amazing, un-crowded red rock canyons for five days. You will be back in Boulder with time to enjoy other activities for your Spring Break. You'll need light hiking boots and appropriate clothing. Transportation, food (excluding meals on the road), and group equipment such as tents, backpacks, sleeping bags, and pads are provided.


Rock Climb Desert Towers Utah (6-Day Spring Break Trip)
Experience the desert like you never have before! This trip will take you to some of the wildest lands in Colorado and Utah. You will experience magnificent rock climbing, backpacking, and hiking miles from the most uncivilized towns, and end up on the summit of a famous but remote desert tower, the South Six Shooter peak. This six day trip features two days hiking, two days climbing (including a multi-pitch climb), backpacking and camping amongst the strangest of desert formations! Sign up soon as the group size is very limited. Some climbing experience is required.


Caribbean Sailing Trip (14-Day May Trip)

Join us on a 14-day trip in some of the most beautiful sailing destinations in the world. This Caribbean voyage begins at St. Martin and sails down through the Windward Islands to St.Lucia and back to St.Martin. We will spend nights at anchor in beautiful bays, and have time to explore islands, rainforests, hike to the top of a volcano, and do some snorkeling or SCUBA diving. No sailing experience is necessary for this course - you will learn how to navigate, sail, and do tasks necessary to compleate a sailing voyage. Cost includes instruction, equipment, two boats, and on-board food. Cost does not include airfare and on-shore food. Trip starts and ends at St.Martin.
