Master Swim

Master Swim is a program designed to provide a stuctured workout environment for differrent types of swimmer.  The type of swimmers at Master Swim range from individuals looking for a workout for general fitness, individuals looking to refine their strokes, and competitive athletes.  Master Swim classes provide a supportive atmosphere so that you can obtain your personal goals and maintain a healthy lifestyle.  Workouts vary from emphasizing endurance and building fitness, to speed work and stroke development.  All levels are encouraged to join; however, you should be able to swim approx. 1000 yards (non-consecutively) in a 75 minute period.

Workout objectives are:

To increase:
Endurance, strength, and power
Aerobic and anaerobic capacity
Muscular strength and flexibility
Comprehension of training principles
To improve:
Stroke techniques
To encourage:
Team involvement in aquatic related activities, i.e. triathlons
But mostly:
To have fun while participating in an aquatic workout with others!

All levels are encouraged to participate!
