Ice Climbing - Lake City (a Top 5 Adventure)

Head south with us for 2 days of ice climbing in the new Ouray! We will drive to Lake City and spend 2 nights in the local hostel before walking 10 minutes to the climbs. Learn the basics of top-rope ice climbing, and how to use all the gear that is involved. All climbing gear and transportation is provided. Group meals will be cooked, but food is not provided.

Intermediate Climbing

If you have taken the Top Rope Fun course or have prior top rope experience and are looking to get out to a new climbing area and climb some harder climbs, then this is the course for you! You will spend the day at one of the local climbing areas working on climbing technique and climbing some of the classic traditional and sport climbs in the area.

Climb the First Flatiron

Try climbing another of the majestic flatirons! Enjoy a weekend day on a guided climb up the First Flatiron. You must have a base skill level of belaying and rappelling. Beginner climbers welcome.

Intro to Mountaineering

Spend the day learning the basics of self-arresting with as ice axe and group travel techniques in an alpine winter environment. Ice axes, snow shoes/crampons and all other necessary group equipment will be provided.

Yoga & Bouldering

Like to boulder and want to learn how yoga can help you or vice versa? This course will start off with a 40 minute yoga session on Flagstaff Mountain, and will then shift gears into a bouldering course on some of the classic boulder problems in this climbing mecca we call home! Bouldering pads, shoes and yoga mats will be provided if necessary.
