Women Rock!

Climb the Third Flatiron (a Top 5 Adventure)

The legendary third Flatiron is perhaps Boulder's most prominent landmark. Enjoy a weekend day on a guided climb up the east face route. You must have a base skill level of belaying and rappelling.

Beginning Bouldering

Intro to Artificial Placement

This one-day course is for participants who want to learn more about climbing safely with gear. Participants will be introduced to different types of protection along with proper placement and removal. Anchor theory will be discussed and demonstrated as it pertains to belay stations and top roping situations. Excellent course for those who want to lead traditional climbs.

Natural Anchor Setting

Learn how to set up an anchor using minimal gear. Both top-rope and multi-pitch anchors will be taught. All students will have the opportunity to build their own top-rope anchor.

This full-day course teaches the skills required for multi-pitch climbing. Intro to Artificial Placement course and Intro to Lead Climbing or equivalent knowledge are recommended prior to taking this class.

Belay Escape and Climbing Self-Rescue

A must for any climber! Learn the safety skills you need to know. Class may be taught in the climbing gym or outdoors, depending on weather. Participants need to bring 10 feet of 7mm accessory cord. Other equipment provided.

Ice Courses

Ice Climbing

Ouray on Ice (a Top 5 Adventure)

Release the stress of finals by learning how to ice climb in beautiful Ouray, Colorado. This unique sport is exciting and challenging! All gear is provided. Price includes gear, registration, lodging, and transportation (food is on your own). Previous rock climbing and belaying experience is recommended.

Beginning Waterfall Ice Climbing

This one-day class will introduce students to the basics of waterfall ice climbing in a top rope situation. Topics covered will include safety, gear selection and movement on ice. Prior rock climbing and belaying experience is a must. Crampons, boots, and ice tools will be provided. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee correct boot fit due to size demands. We will carpool to the climbing site.
