Spring Break

The OP has two great getaways to choose from for Spring Break! We have the Snow and Ice Trip and the Sun and Sand Trip.

Snow and Ice Spring Break Trip (Skiing and Ice Climbing):

Come Ski or Snowboard several southern CO resorts, Ice Climb and soak in some natural hot springs along the way.

Ski/Snowboard Resorts & Ice Park Include:

  • Wolf Creek (typically has the most snow in CO!) for
  • Monarch or Crested Butte for 1 day
  • Lake City Ice Park
  • On the drive back to Boulder we will stop at Clear Creek Canyon in Golden for one last ice climb

Ski/Snowboard Resorts & Ice Park Include:

  • The Mount Princton Hot Spring on the Way to Wolf Creek
  • Gunnison Hot Spring the evening before Monarch or Crestted Butte

Price Covers The Following:

  • Travel & Lodging in the hostels
  • Activity costs as well as all ice climbing equipment

Note: You will be responsible for your own food and any equipment rental needed

Scuba, Snorkel, and Sun Spring Break Trip (Key Largo):

Spend your spring break in Key Largo Florida with the outdoor program this year!

The week will consist of staying in a house right on the ocean, scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, and soaking up the sun.

The week will consist of:

  • Staying in a house (communal living) on the ocean
  • Eating and exploring the area together
  • Snorkeling & Scuba Diving (optional). Terry Danko, CUOP's in house scuba instructor will be facilitating all dives.

Trip consts include:

  • Room & Board
  • Continental breakfast each morning and cold cut lunch every day.
  • 4 group dinners prepared by the group
  • sea kayaking and walking distance from many great attractions

Note: The trip begins and ends in Key Largo. You are responsible for getting yourself to and from there.

Add-ons include:

  • Snorkeling or scuba diving near wrecks and on the reef for 4 days facilitated by Terry Danko
  • Completion of advanced dives
  • Night Dive
  • Nitrox Course & Training
  • Day trip to Key West
  • Cruiser Bike rental for around town
  • Three Dinners out on the town

Yurt Trip

Head out to State Forest State Park and spend the night in one of the great yurts! This is a great way to get ready for a 10th mountain division hut trip.
Snow shoe or ski into the yurt, spend time exploring the beautiful area on snow shoes or skis in all of its winter glory. Price includes lodging, all group equipment, snow shoes and meals while in the Forest.
