SUMMER 2011 YOGA & PILATES

These classes run throughout the summer, and are available to current CU Students and Members of the Recreation Center. Classes run as two consecutive "five-week sessions", from May 31st through August 5th.  However, there are no classes over Memorial Day and Independence Day Holiday weekend. This includes Monday, May 30th and Monday, July 4th. Please: No cell phones, iPods, or other listening devices are allowed during class time.

Sunrise Yoga

Start your morning with a yoga class and watch the sun come up over the eastern plains. This beginning/intermediate class is open to anyone who wants to wake up to refreshing relaxation. All Classes meet in the Aerobics Studio.

Lunchtime Yoga

Join us for our noon-time yoga class which meets three days a week. Relax and unwind between classes or work with this beginner level yoga class, designed especially for the noon-time crowd. Class meets in the Aerobics Studio.

Pilates Matwork

The Pilates Method works the whole body in balance, coordinating upper and lower movement with the body's core. This mat class is structured to improve strength and flexibility in overall body posture. The training technique is meticulous and rigorous; yet is accessible to every level of fitness. MWF class meets in the East General Gym. T,R class meets in the Aerobic Studio.

Beginning/Continuing Yoga

This class is for both the beginning yoga student and for those continuing students looking to refine their understanding of basic yoga postures and moves. All classes meet in the Mat Room.

Intermediate Yoga

This class is for the individual with previous yoga experience who is interested in the whole yoga practice. The participant should know pranayama and asanas, and be ready to incorporate meditation techniques. All classes meet in the Matroom.

PRIVATE YOGA INSTRUCTION

Personalized yoga sessions are available for individuals who would like to work on their posture and alignment, breath, mental focus, and pose modifications; or for those who simply want to get acquainted with yoga. You can try one, or sign-up for a package and save even more!

Private Sessions $35 / hour Code: T/C 183

Register at the cashier and then stop by the Instruction Program Office to make an appointment. Allow 48 hours Advance notice in scheduling of appointments. No walk- In or same-day appointments are available. All private lessons are valid for 180 days from date of purchase. Unused sessions are non-transferable and non-refundable.

For individuals who would like to take their workouts to the next level by training on the Pilates Reformer.

Private Session $35 per 45-minute session T/C 195
Multiple Private $300 per 10 - 45 minutes sessions T/C 195A
