John Mork is President and CEO of Energy Corporation of America (ECA). ECA is a privately held energy company engaged in the exploration, development, production, gathering, aggregation and sale of natural gas and oil, primarily in the Appalachian Basin and Gulf Coast region in the United States and in New Zealand. ECA owns and operates more than 5,000 gas and oil wells in the U.S. Mork began his career in the petroleum industry at Union Oil Co., where he served in various capacities as an engineer. Within two years of graduating from USC, he founded his own company, Eastern American Energy Corp., the predecessor to Energy Corp. of America. He was a member of the Young Presidents Organization, serving as the Rocky Mountain chapter chairman and founding the mountain states chapter of the organization. He attended education programs for senior executives at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and the Harvard Business School. Mork currently is a member of the World Presidents’ Organization and Chief Executives Organization, a trustee of the Denver Museum of Nature & Science and a founding board member of Colorado Community Church, which is in Englewood and Aurora, Colo. He is a past director of the Independent Petroleum Association of America.
