Doug Coors has been a Vice President of CoorsTek since February 2007 and the CEO of Ceramatec, a related company since April 2008.Mr. Coors has held a variety of positions with CoorsTek and related companies, beginning in 1992 when he began working on government contracts for research and development at Golden Technologies. He served as Engineering Manager for Graphic Packaging, responsible for the construction of a new plant in Golden, Colorado. He joined CoorsTek in 2000, relocating to Northern California where, as Business Unit Manager, he led the very successful InVision project, producing baggage scanners used at airports. He returned to Golden, CO in 2004 as a Director, responsible for identifying business development opportunities, including mergers and acquisitions. He was promoted to General Manager in 2005 leading two Golden facilities and an additional facility in Ventura, CA that he played a key role in acquiring in 2006.Mr. Coors believes strongly in being a good steward of the environment and that success is not achieved individually, but a combination of receiving from others who give selflessly, and in turn giving selflessly to others.Mr. Coors received a B.S. in Engineering Physics from Colorado School of Mines.
