As an incoming student, you are part of the Alumni Association’s initiative, Forever Buffs. As a Forever Buff you are part of a strong alumni–student network. You and CU alumni have much in common: you share Buff spirit, which will open doors for you throughout your life. Membership in the Herd, the student arm of the Alumni Association, also is a great way to engage with other students and celebrate being a Buff. With 6,000 members, it’s one of the strongest student groups in the country. Take advantage of our alumni family for internship/job possibilities and mentoring through our online networking tool, My CU Network. While on the site, check out our scholarship program and Herd activities. Now and always, Forever Buff!

The University of Colorado Student Union (UCSU) is the student government for all CU-Boulder students. UCSU is among the most influential student governments in the nation and has an operating budget of more than $32 million. Similar to the structure of the U.S. government, UCSU has executive, legislative, and judicial branches. Executives are elected each year in the spring, and they appoint a staff of commissioners, student administrators, and administrative assistants. Legislative council meetings are held Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the UMC, and everyone is invited to attend.
