My project is a collaboration between two different organizations, both of which are tackling the issue of armed conflict in Sub-Saharan Africa in their own ways.  I will work as a volunteer for the Community of Sudanese and American Women to aid the "Lost Girls," refugees from South Sudan in finding success after having survived the intense conflict of their home country and as an intern for Peace in Five Years (P5Y) to research the ongoing conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
