In the event of a large-scale public health emergency, CU Boulder, in collaboration with Boulder County Public Health, would distribute medication to the campus community. On Friday, June 16th, over 200 people from the CU and Boulder communities are participating* in a Point of Dispensing (POD) exercise from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. This emergency preparedness simulation is part of a statewide Public Health Emergency Dispensing Exercise and will allow our campus to work with community partners for emergency planning. The training will take place in two areas of campus, UMC (walk-in dispensing) and east campus lot 544 (drive-through dispensing.) The UMC area is not expected to have any parking impacts.
To accommodate the east campus exercise, lots 544, 532 and Circle M lot 598 will be closed at 9:00 PM Thursday, June 15th and remain closed through the conclusion of the exercise, 12 Noon on Friday, June 16th. Lots 532 and 544 permit holders may park in lot 556 (SC Zone), or lot 543, while displaying their parking permit. (Motorcycle lot 598 permit holders may park in the Circle M lot in the SC Zone.) Vehicles remaining in the closed lots will be relocated at the owner’s expense. PTS and Federal Rules and Regulations remain in effect for ADA spaces, fire lanes and service spaces. It is anticipated that permit holders may return to their lots after the completion of the exercise, approximately 1:00 PM, June 16th, 2017.
