Each fall semester we ask for your help to let us know what we are doing correct, and what needs improvement.  Because of your important input we have improved past service to give you more frequent buses in the mornings and a bus tracker to help you plan your trip. We couldn't do it without you! Reduced Service/No Service

There will be certain times of the semester when the Buff Bus runs on a limited schedule or does not run at all.  When limited service or no service will be provided, we will keep you updated with the schedule as it approaches. Please plan accordingly. If you need assistance with travel arrangements to and from the airport, you may refer to the RTD Skyride using your Student Bus Pass.

FINALS SCHEDULE:  William's Village Route will pick up at the following times every hour between 07:00AM - 12 Midnight Monday - Wednesday.  Thursday the bus service will be 20 minutes apart as we only have one bus on route.

WINTER BREAK UPDATE: Buff Bus service will NOT be available during the winter break.

  • Thursday, December 18th at 12:00 midnight - Regular service will end.
  • Friday, December 19th, 2014 - Tuesday, December 23rd, 2014-The Libby Express will provide limited Buff Bus service. See below.
  • Wednesday, December 24th, 2014 / Thursday, December 25th, 2014 / Thursday, January 1st, 2015 -  There will be NO Buff Bus service from William's Village to Campus.
  • Saturday, December 27th, 2014 through January 3rd, 2015- The Libby Express is available.
  • Sunday, January 4th, 2015 from 7:00am to 12:00 midnight - Limited William's Village route shuttle will begin.
  • Saturday, January 10th, 2015 - The Buff Bus will resume full service.

NO SERVICE: Labor Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, spring break, and summer.

REDUCED SERVICE: Beginning of semesters, finals, and campus closures. The Libby Express is a limited service which provides transportation to main campus during breakfast, lunch, and dinner only. Week day times are 7:30am to 9:00am, 11:00am to 1:00pm and 5:00pm to 7:00pm and the weekend times are 11:00am to 1:00pm and 5:00pm to 7:00pm.  The Norlin Express provides limited service directly to Norlin Library 12-2am during finals week.

 


Lost & Found

If you lose an item while riding the Buff Bus you may check with any bus driver, on the same day, to see if it has been turned in. Items found on the buses and not claimed will be turned into Transportation Services' main office at the end of each day. Items will be kept for 30 days after which all unclaimed items will be donated or discarded. 


 Buff Bus Route Maps

The Buff Bus is a Housing and Dining Services sponsored, and PTS administered, service for students living in residence halls. The Buff Bus shuttle connects students who live in Williams Village/Bear Creek with the Main Campus.

REGULAR ROUTE:

The Buff Bus operates each day and night throughout the fall and spring semesters when classes are in session. The route runs clockwise, and stops at Williams Village, Regent, C4C, Euclid, 18th, Colorado & Folsom, Colorado & 30th (drop offs only, by request), and Bear Creek.

 

FOOTBALL RE-ROUTE:
On game days, the Buff Bus alters its route one hour before the game to one hour after the game. The route runs clockwise, and stops at Williams Village, C4C, Regent, Colorado & 30th (drop offs only, by request), and Bear Creek.
CU Basketball Re-Route BASKETBALL RE-ROUTE:
On game days, the Buff Bus alters its route one hour before the game to one hour after the game. The route runs clockwise, and stops at Williams Village, UMC, Colorado, Colorado & 30th (drop-offs only, by request), and Bear Creek.

 


Buff Bus Rules & Tips

Rules:

Our passengers contribute to our efficiency and everyone's safety by observing our rules while riding the buses.

  • No alcohol, smoking, drugs, or illegal activity are allowed.
  • No pets, bicycles, or flammables.
  • Do not ask the driver to stop at unauthorized locations.
  • For your safety, please do not chase after the bus.
  • Be courteous - it's simple.

                         Listen to the driver.

                        Stay behind the standee line. 

                        Allow passengers to unload before loading.

                        Use trash receptacles.

Storm Tips & Delays:

Certain areas become impassable during storms and construction.  Due to this the Buff Bus may need to use alternative routes. Follow CUBuffBus on Facebook and Twitter for delays due to traffic and weather.  You can also text "followCUbuffbus" to 40404 to subscribe to Twitter.

  • To allow yourself enough time to arrive on campus, board the Buff Bus 30 minutes prior to class. 
  • During snow and inclimate weather adjust your plans by leaving earlier for peak class times.
  • Be responsible for your safety. During inclimate weather, please dress accordingly and always have a "Plan B".
  • Look and be aware of your surroundings. If something doesn't seem right, alert your driver.
  • If the University of Colorado is closed, there may be no Buff Bus service.
