Graduate Student Funding Possibilities

The main form of funding through the University of Colorado at Boulder for international graduate students is from departmental assistantships and Graduate School Fellowships.  To find out more about such opportunities you must contact the department to which you are applying for further information.  You may also find more information about funding on the department’s website.  You can start on the graduate prospective student web site at www.colorado.edu/prospective/graduate/, then search the site for your department of interest.

Many funding opportunities outside of the university can be found on the document prepared by CU-Boulder’s Office of International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) located at www.colorado.edu/oie/isss/documents/FinAid.pdf

Grants range in value from $500 to tens of thousands of dollars. The book describes the size of awards and what they cover; eligibility; application procedures; number of awards offered, purpose and duration; and complete contact information. Listings include awards offered by governments, international organizations and associations, foundations, and U.S. colleges and universities.  The IIE Bookstore on the Web makes it easy for you to purchase the IIE books you need from a secure online store 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can order from their site at www.iiebooks.org.
