Graduate Applicants
Applying to CU-Boulder

To apply for admission, follow the steps in this section to complete the application process. Steps 1, 2, 3, and 4 tell you how to prepare and submit your application for admission. Step 5 helps you make a successful transition to CU-Boulder after you have been admitted.

Step 1) Application Process and Deadlines

Your file will be reviewed after the following items have been received: 1) a complete application, 2) the application fee, and 3) all complete and official academic documents. After your application has been evaluated in the Office of Admissions, it is forwarded to your department. Departments make all final admission decisions. If you are academically eligible for admission to the university, your file will then be checked for proof of adequate English proficiency, financial support, and other information required by law prior to issuing an immigration document. Once all requirements are met, the appropriate immigration documents are issued.
