Sports are also available at the intramural, club, and varsity levels.
What does CU-Boulder do to increase campus safety?
Safety awareness and related services are a high priority for CU-Boulder. All residence halls have locked entrances with only one entrance open for late-night use. University police patrol the campus regularly, and can be contacted immediately through emergency call boxes located across campus. The Night Ride / Night Walk service provides students with police-screened volunteer student escorts on campus and throughout the city of Boulder. In addition, CU-Boulder provides extensive crime prevention and education programs. For a comprehensive annual report of campus safety information, write to: Police Department, University of Colorado at Boulder, 502 UCB, Boulder, CO 80309-0502; call 303-492-7311; or visit the web page.
Can I get a job on campus?
Yes. Many graduate students work as teaching assistants (TAs) or as research assistants (RAs) on campus. Aside from those positions, students may also pursue other work opportunities on camps. The top 10 on-campus employers are the University Police Department; the Office of Financial Aid; Norlin Library and its branches; the University Memorial Center (UMC); the athletics administration; UMC Food Services; the Department of Housing; Information Technology Resources; the Student Recreation Center; and the University of Colorado Student Union. See the financial aid web site about student employment.
If I live off campus, can I still eat in the residence halls?
Even if you are living off campus, you can still take advantage of our six dining halls by purchasing a meal plan. Plans for 19, 15, 10, and five meals per week are available, and can be used at any of the residence hall dining rooms. Learn more about meal plans on the housing and dining website.
