Frequently Asked Questions

| I'd like to apply to graduate
school and would like information about teaching or research appointments
that would pay for my tuition. |
| Contact the department
to which you are applying regarding RA/TA appointments or other funding
opportunities. To receive information regarding need-based financial
aid or student loan opportunities, contact the Office of Financial
Aid at 303-492-5091, e-mail,
or check online. You
may also contact them at 303-492-7349 regarding student employment
opportunities. |
| I just got my acceptance and offer
letter from my department. What do I need to do to make sure that
my financial support will be applied to my bill? |
If you have received a fellowship, TA/RA appointment,
or other departmental award, contact
the department directly. Contact the Office of Financial Aid to
follow up on additional information that might be necessary to process
need-based financial aid: phone 303-492-5091 or e-mail finaid@colorado.edu.

| I just received my tuition bill
and my financial award is not listed. The tuition deadline is only
a couple of days away. Do I have to pay the bill? Why isn't my award
showing on my statement? |
| Double check your current bill using CUConnect. You should pay the portion of the bill that you think you
owe (student fees, some or all of your health insurance, tuition beyond
the portion covered by your assistantship tuition waiver, etc.). For
additional assistance, contact the
department to be sure that all necessary processing has been completed. |
| Can I get a waiver of the $200
enrollment deposit, or can I have the $200 enrollment deposit added
to my bill and pay it later? |
| All students must pay the $200 enrollment deposit before
enrolling at the university. However, the enrollment deposit for international
students will automatically be deferred and applied to their bill
for payment upon their arrival. |
| Are my student fees covered by
my assistantship tuition waiver? |
| No, you are responsible for payment of
the student fees portion of your bill. You may be able to petition
for a reduction in a portion of your student fees. Contact the Bursar's
Office at 303-492-5381 for more information. |
