CU—LEAD Alliance

The CU Leadership, Excellence, Achievement, and Diversity (CU-LEAD) Alliance is a set of multidisciplinary academic neighborhoods whose students, faculty, and staff are united to promote diversity and educational excellence through access for underrepresented and first-generation students. These neighborhoods provide academic enrichment, leadership activities, small classes, and links to faculty and staff, counseling, and opportunities for community service. Scholarships are available. Multicultural Engineering Program (MEP)
This program is offered by College of Engineering and Applied Science and assists underrepresented and first-generation students to successfully enroll and graduate with a degree in the fields of mathematics, science, and engineering. More>>

Minority Arts and Sciences Program (MASP)
The College of Arts and Sciences offers this academic neighborhood to promote diversity and academic excellence by supporting underrepresented and first-generation students in science, mathematics, and the humanities. More>>

McNeill Academic Program
This is a multidisciplinary academic neighborhood that promotes diversity and academic excellence by supporting underrepresented and first-generation students in all the CU-Boulder colleges and schools. More>>

Diverse Scholars Program - Business
The Leeds School of Business offers this program to support the recruitment, achievement, and graduation of underrepresented and first-generation business students by strengthening the academic relationship between students, faculty, and staff. More>>

Education Diversity Scholars Program
This program promotes diversity and academic excellence in the School of Education by providing a welcoming and encouraging environment for students from diverse backgrounds in all stages of their college education. Students have many opportunities to interact with faculty, fellow students, and teachers already in the field. More>>

Honor CU-LEAD Scholars Program
This is an opportunity for talented underrepresented and first-generation students to be part of CU's Honors Program, facilitating graduation with honors. The program strives to provide students with a small college liberal arts "neighborhood" within the "city" that is CU. More>>

Journalism Diversity Scholars
The School of Journalism and Mass Communication offers this academic excellence program which is dedicated to recruiting, retaining, and graduating outstanding first-generation students and students from diverse backgrounds with the skills and support to excel as media professionals in journalism and related fields. Chancellor's Leadership Residential Academic Program (CLR) and Ethnic Living Learning Community (ELLC)
The CLR invites participation of students in all majors interested in the study of leadership and community service. Housed in the Williams Village residential community, the ELLC is part of the CLR and offers students the opportunity to live and study in a multicultural environment. More>>

This program promotes diversity by preparing underrepresented, first-generation, and low-income students to enter PhD programs and professorate. More>>

First Generation Scholarship Program
This is a comprehensive Center for Multicultural Affairs (link) program that is designed to foster individual academic excellence as well as enhance social development through active participation in community building opportunities. More>>

This Center for Multicultural Affairs (link) program assists American Indian students toward the successful completion of their undergraduate degrees, while cultivating, sustaining, and building support within the CU American Indian community. More>>
