Here you will learn through course work and field experiences designed to prepare you for the increasingly complex demands of teaching in a diverse society.
Program: You can choose from three programs that lead to teacher licensure issued by the Colorado Department of Education: Elementary (K-6), Secondary (7-12), or K-12 Music, and the following secondary fields: English, mathematics, science, social studies, and the foreign languages: French, German, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Russian, or Spanish.
Hands-on Learning: The carefully sequenced courses are closely tied to experiences in the field, from working with individual students to handling instruction for a whole classroom during your student teaching.
Highlights: The specialized CU Teach program is a four-year degree/licensure program that allows you to complete a rigorous education in a mathematics or science major and fulfill the requirements for a Colorado initial teaching license in Secondary Mathematics or Secondary Science.
