Student Life

The University of Colorado Boulder has a strong institutional commitment toward student growth and the development of individual responsibility. To further this goal, the university embraces the concept that catastrophic financial risks while attending the university should be minimized. To this end, the University of Colorado Boulder endorses a policy of mandatory health insurance requiring that all students on the UCB campus be covered by a comprehensive health insurance plan.

Prepared for student organizations by the Office of Licensing Programs.

The Office of Licensing Programs regulates, promotes, and protects the use of the University's name and identifying marks, both on and off campus. This includes granting approval for use of the many registered service marks and trademarks of the University.

A.  Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to establish the circumstances in which Fraternal Organizations may obtain access to University of Colorado at Boulder (UCB) programs, activities, services and facilities.

Introduction

An Honor Code establishes a fundamental social contract within which the University community agrees to live. This contract relies on the conviction that the personal and academic integrity of each individual member strengthens and improves the quality of life for the entire community. The Honor Code is vital to the Building Community Campaign, which is striving to develop a welcoming and supportive climate in which all people are respected and free to express differing ideals and opinions. A sense of mutual trust is critical to achieving such a community.
